The hairline design process is the most critical step because this hairstyle will stay with the patient for the rest of their life. Therefore, the design of the hair must be based on natural principles, suitable for gender, age, facial structure. And the severity of baldness.

To process NNN technique, the medical team will design the hair in the style of irregular hairline so that the hair that doesn’t grow out is too straight because it will look unnatural. Also, the face ratio was measured and assessed at what age and hairstyle should be styled. The shape of the hairline in males and females is different in people with different stages of baldness. Therefore, the doctor will design different hairstyles as well.

Natural orientation and sorting graft mimics

The orientation of hair roots is an essential step. If the direction is wrong, the hair will grow out in the wrong direction. Thus, it is difficult to style and affects the image as well. Laying out hair root direction should do according to the theory as males and females have different orientations.

What is normal human hair? The first row will be all single strands of hair. When going deeper, there will be hair with more clumps, 2,3,4, respectively, so hair transplants should be imitated with the above rules to get most natural hair. Bringing the back graft with a large clump, such as 2-4 hair to transplant in the front area causes a tuft of hair that looks like a wig (Hair plug).

High density compared to Natural density

Typically, the standard density for hair transplant is 40 grafts/cm2. NNN technique uses a maximum density of 60 grafts/cm2, which is higher than the standard density. Therefore, it is suitable for patients with relatively thick hair. If the grown hair has a density similar to normal hair, the hair will look more natural. Besides, using low density in people with original thick hair will cause contrast between the grown hair and the original hair. It must be replanted to increase the density again. In some patients, the hair is relatively thin, a lower density may be used. The doctor must consider the amount of hair on the back as well. If the patient has less hair on the back, it may use a lower density at the physician’s discretion.

NNN : Nano graft

Graft decoration is another essential step in the hair transplantation process with NNN technique. All grapfts obtained from the back are trimmed off excess tissue (graft trimming) to make the grafts fit smaller. As a result, the wound size in front is smaller and less traumatic. Also, having the grafts small enough will allow hair to grow closer.

Another important reason we decorate the graft is: To separate a single graft (Graft splitting) to get the amount of 1 hair as needed and transplant it around the front hairline to look much natural as possible. Otherwise, the back graft with a large clump, such as 2-4 hair, is planted in the front area, causing a tuft of hair like a wig (Hair plug).

Another benefit of graft putting is for a patient with insufficient hair on the back for the planting area. Splitting the grafts can increase grafts to be enough to cover the desired hair transplant area.

NNN : New innovations

 Hair transplantation preparation

• For Men, If cause of hair loss is androgenic alopecia . Doctor recommends to take oral Finasteride and Minoxisil until day of  hair transplantation.
• Stop all herb&supplementation before 2 weeks.
• Stop alcohol & smoking before 2 weeks.

At day of hair transplantation

• Have breakfast for lunch as usual. No tea & coffee.
• Wash and dry your hair before.
• Wearing button shirt to avoid touching your grafts.
• Take time about 6-10 hrs. depend on among of the grafts.
• All of case, using PRP (Platelet rich plasma) before hair transplant at bald area.
• After hair transplantation, you should not go home by yourself.

Hair transplantation aftercare

• Don’t touch!!! Don’t scratch!!! For protect the hair transplantation area.
• Take medications as prescribed by a doctor. (Antibiotic drug & Analgesic drug)
• Must wear a head band for at least 3-5 days to prevent your face swelling.
• If you worry about the swelling, you can use cold pack for release the swelling by avoid the cold
• pack touch the transplant area.
• Raise your head high at first 2 weeks after hair transplantation to prevent swelling and prevent grafts coming out.
• Don’t lie down on your stomach!!! Don’t lie down on your side!!! To prevent the grafts coming out.
• Stop alcohol after the hair transplant about 48 hrs.
• Stop smoking at least 1 month.
• Wearing the clinic’s hat when you go outdoor.
• Don’t wear the hat when you sleep because the hat can touch your hair grafts when you sleep.
• Don’t use hair dye, hair styling after 1 mount of the hair transplantation.
• Don’t forget follow up as clinic’s appointment.
• The first every 3 days, wash your hair by clinic’s staff for take care the wound and get the diode laser.
• The clinic’s staff will teach you about how to wash your hair.
• After 1 month, you can wash your hair as normal.
• Avoiding a lot of sweat activities, extensive exercise, sauna, lifting some heavy objects, swimming.
